In this article, we'll guide you through the steps for generating, setting up, and linking your Coinbase Advanced API key with Normal Finance.

All trading activities are conducted and processed through an exclusive exchange API key assigned to each user. An API key offers a secure and dependable means of utilizing the platform, as it does not grant access to personal data and ensures the safeguarding of fund management activities, such as withdrawals and deposits.
1. Open your Coinbase API Settings
2. Create a new API key (with Coinbase Developer Platform)
2. Enter your Verification Code
3. Copy your API Key and API Secret.
After generating your new Coinbase API key, a window will pop up displaying your API Key and Secret.
Please copy and securely store these keys in a safe place, such as a password manager, for future reference.
7. Add your API key to Normal
8. Enter your API key and secret, then click "Connect"

9. Invest in a crypto index
You can now use your Coinbase account with Normal to invest in one of our hand-crafted or community-made crypto indexes!
If your Portfolio balances don't load or you can't invest in an index, please contact our support and read the notice below if your Coinbase account is new.

Sometimes new Coinbase accounts are required to wait 48 hours to begin using their API keys. Your API will appear as 'disabled' until the 48-hour waiting period is over. After 48 hours you can begin using your Normal and Coinbase exchange integration.
