In this article, we'll guide you through the steps for generating, setting up, and linking your Bybit API key with Normal Finance.
Normal is a financial platform specializing in indexing cryptocurrencies. It simplifies the cryptocurrency acquisition process, making it as easy as a single click. Normal Finance has pioneered the world's first crypto index fund tool, streamlining the trading experience.
All trading activities are conducted and processed through an exclusive exchange API key assigned to each user. An API key offers a secure and dependable means of utilizing the platform, as it does not grant access to personal data and ensures the safeguarding of fund management activities, such as withdrawals and deposits.
1. Log in to Bybit
Access your Bybit account by logging in or establish a new account.
2. Go to the API page
Access the API page by going to your account settings in the top-right corner.
3. Create an API key
To generate a fresh API key, simply click on the [Generate New Key] button.
4. Choose the API key type
Select the System-generated type of API key.
5. Match API permissions
To begin, opt for the "Connect to Third-party Applications" choice, and designate "Normal" as the name of the application.
Modify your permissions as illustrated in the example below. By doing so, you grant us access to view your transaction history, check your current account balance, and carry out trades on your exchange account.
Here is the checklist of necessary permissions:
Select the Read-Write option.
For Spot Trading, enable the "Trade" option.
For Contract Trading:
Disable "Orders."
Disable "Positions."
Disable "Block Trade."
In the Wallet section:
Turn off "Account transfer."
Turn off "Subaccount transfer."
Once you've made these adjustments, click [Submit] button when you're prepared.
6. Insert the 2FA code
Please enter your two-factor authentication (2FA) code to finalize the security verification process.
7. Copy your API key and Secret key
Your Bybit trading keys have been successfully generated and are now prepared for integration with our platform. Kindly make sure to save a secure copy of both your API key and Secret key before adding them to Normal. Once you confirm your understanding, your API keys will no longer be visible.
8. Go to Normal > Exchanges
Access your Normal account, navigate to the "Exchanges" section, and select your preferred exchange.
9. Select the Bybit exchange and enter the API info
You should choose Bybit from the pop-up window, which will then bring up a new window where you can input your API key and Secret key, followed by clicking the [Connect] button.
